NEWSLETTER - February 2026

Hello from the City of Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority (DDA). This is a monthly update on current DDA events and activities. We hope you find the Newsletter informative and that it helps you stay involved in all of the great things happening in Downtown Iron Mountain!

NEW EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Summer Roll Out: Downtown Iron Mountain’s Summer Kickoff Event!

We’re excited to introduce Summer Roll Out, sponsored by Bacco Construction Company—a brand-new Downtown Iron Mountain summer kickoff event happening Saturday, June 20, from 12 PM to 9 PM. Taking place on one of the longest days of the year, this family-friendly celebration will make the most of the extended daylight and vibrant downtown atmosphere as we welcome summer together.

The event will feature great food, community fun, and live music from Finding Feathers and 141 North, with music sponsored by Iron Mountain Area Tourism. Between sets, The Sandlot will bring line dancing to the First National Bank & Trust Downtown Stage—so come ready to join in the fun.

Attendees can also look forward to new activities like axe throwing and a mechanical bull, along with returning favorites including children’s inflatables and professional face painting.

Admission is just $5.

Planning is already underway for Phase Two of Summer Roll Out, set to launch in June 2027. This next phase will add something new and exciting—and with a name like Summer Roll Out, you might already have a guess as to what that could be.

Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market Vendor Applications Open March 2!

Are you a farmer, baker, or maker looking for a vibrant place to sell your products this summer? Vendor applications for the Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market open Monday, March 2!

Hosted by the Downtown Development Authority, the market runs Saturdays from June 6 through October 10 in the heart of Downtown Iron Mountain. On average, the market welcomes around 600 shoppers each Saturday, totaling thousands of visitors over the 20-week season. It’s a strong, established marketplace with consistent foot traffic and a loyal customer base that values shopping local.

Vendors can sign up for the full season or participate weekly, making it easy to choose an option that fits your schedule and inventory. All vendors must complete an application and receive approval prior to participating. If you’re ready to connect with customers, grow your business, and be part of a strong downtown tradition, be sure to apply beginning March 2. We look forward to another fantastic market season!

Join us on March 10 from 5–7 PM for our upcoming Volunteer Celebration! Hosted by the Friends of the Iron Mountain DDA, this free event is open to anyone who has volunteered with the DDA in the past or anyone interested in getting involved this year. The event will take place in the lower-level training room of the John Fornetti Dental Center.

The evening will have a relaxed, casual atmosphere and is a great opportunity to connect with other community members who share a passion for volunteering. Whether you’ve volunteered at a single event, planting flowers, or are looking to get more involved in 2026, we’d love to see you there.

The DDA will provide light refreshments and snacks, and we’ll also be recognizing five standout volunteers from 2025 with special awards to celebrate their dedication and impact.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of appreciation, connection, and community!

SPOTLIGHT: Out to Lunch Season Sponsorship

The Downtown Development Authority is seeking a Season Sponsor for our Out to Lunch summer concert series. Held weekly at the Downtown Stage over 10 weeks, each concert features a different genre of music from talented local and regional artists. Over the season, the series attracts 2,000–3,000 attendees, providing excellent community exposure.

As the Season Sponsor, your business will receive recognition across print, social media, on-site signage, and weekly concert announcements. Sponsors also have the opportunity to set up a tent each week and make an announcement to attendees during the band break, allowing direct engagement with the crowd.

If the Out to Lunch Season Sponsorship does not align with your organization’s mission, we invite you to check out additional DDA sponsorship opportunities to find a program or event that fits your goals. Sponsorships range from $250 to $6,500.

The Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority (DDA) plans and conducts three major festivals and a series of smaller events every year in Downtown Iron Mountain. In total, these festivals and events bring some sort of activity to the Downtown area on 35 dates of every year. These are in addition to numerous other events conducted by various local organizations downtown every year.
