Downtown Iron Mountain Michigan Farmers Artisans Market

Buy local, shop and support 30-40 fine vendors from the Iron Mountain area. The Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market (FAM) is held Saturdays in the parking lot across from Dickinson County Library at the corner of A Street and Iron Mountain Street in Downtown Iron Mountain MI. If you need help finding parking, check out the Parking Map on this website.

The FAM is a great place to enjoy a sense of community while supporting local vendors and downtown businesses. The FAM offers a unique combination of local and organic produce, seasonal plants, honey & maple syrup, flowers, locally made baked goods, and locally made crafts. If it’s fruits and vegetables you’re looking for, please see the Michigan Availability Guide to know when various types of fresh produce are available, and please consider that our growing season in the Upper Peninsula is generally later and shorter than most of Michigan.

See us on Facebook for the latest announcements and posts featuring some of our vendors. You can find the full vendor lineup each week right here on the website. The table below features the vendor lineup for 2024. There will generally be 30-35 vendors, since the FAM has a number of “weekly” spaces for vendors present on just a few Saturdays during the entire season.

There are many downtown businesses within a short walk, including coffee shops, restaurants, retail stores, and much more. Please see the Business Directory on this website for more information.

While a few vendors may be able to process credit card transactions, it is recommended that you bring cash, as most vendors only accept cash. There are several ATMs nearby, within a few blocks, at First Bank, First National Bank & Trust, and Incredible Bank.

Payment via Prescription for Health and Fresh Food Access Program vouchers is accepted by certain participating vendors that sell fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs and other fresh foods. Look for “Food As Medicine” signs, and each participating vendor will have a list of food items the different vouchers can be used to purchase. The vouchers are in $5 amounts and vendors cannot give change for them. For more information, see the Food Voucher Programs page on this website.

The table below is a current list of vendors for the 2024 season.

On the table above, “S” indicates a seasonal vendor, or one that has committed to being at the Market for all or most of the 20 Saturdays during the season. “W” indicates a weekly vendor, or one that will be at the Market significantly less than 20 Saturdays during the season.

On most Saturdays, weather permitting, there will be live local musicians at the Farmers & Artisans Market to provide some additional ambiance for vendors and customers alike. DB Rouse will play July 27 and September 7, and classical guitarist Alyssa Jorgensen will play most other dates. They were both favorites last year at the FAM and Alyssa is also a vendor.
