Now celebrating our tenth year! Oktoberfest has become a beloved tradition in downtown Iron Mountain. With two food trucks serving mouthwatering fare and Oktoberfest brews, there’s no better way to raise a stein and celebrate a decade of Oktoberfest fun. From Stein holding and hammerschlagen to outdoor yard games and lively music, our festival brings together locals and visitors alike for a day filled with fun, food, and fantastic entertainment. Celebrating our 10th anniversary in style, we’re thrilled to announce an unforgettable music line up featuring something for everyone. Kickstarting the festivities, The Daydreamers will bring their lively, family-friendly party tunes to the stage, setting the perfect vibe for the afternoon. New to playing in this area, Backstage Pass will deliver an energetic performance that will have you singing along to your favorite hits. As the sun sets, prepare to rock out with Sixx Gunns Loaded! A classic 80’s rock band from Appleton area, playing songs you love including, ‘Welcome to the Jungle – Guns n’ Roses’ ‘Pour some sugar on me – Def Leppard’ and ‘Rock n roll all nite – Kiss.’ With this stellar lineup, Oktoberfest 2024 promises to be a great experience and a lasting memory.

Oktoberfest Activities
Men's and Women's stein holding competition
The stein holding competition is back by popular demand! It’s free to participate. This competition will take place at Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28. Contestants must have on an Oktoberfest 21+ wristband to participate. The winner from each heat will need to be present for the championship round. Winners of the overall competition will receive their own beer boot or “bierstiefel” in German.
The official rules we will follow for this competition are from the U.S. Steinholding Association
Sign up will be at the event on October 28.

Ms. Oktoberfest competition
You could be the next Ms. Oktoberfest!
A new Ms. Oktoberfest is crowned every year. This event is free to participate in and we are looking for 3 to 6 contestants who will compete in the following categories:
- Best Dirndl or German outfit
- Beer palate – ability to identify Oktoberfest beers through a blind taste test
- German pronunciation – ability to pronounce three German words
Winners will be crowned and titled Ms. Oktoberfest 2023! This contest will be decided by a panel of judges.
You must be 21 or older to participate in this contest. Competitors must have an Octoberfest 21+ wristband to participate.
