Welcome to Downtown Iron Mountain’s First Small Business Week!
We’re excited to kick off our very first Small Business Week in Downtown Iron Mountain, proudly joining the nationwide celebration led by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) during National Small Business Week. This week is all about recognizing the hardworking entrepreneurs, family-owned shops, service providers, other business owners and employees who are the heart and soul of our downtown community. See the DDA Business Directory with information on over 200 downtown Iron Mountain businesses.
Thanks to the generous support of Presenting Sponsor, First National Bank & Trust, and Radio Sponsors, Results Broadcasting and Radio Results Network, we’ll be highlighting local businesses, sharing their stories, and offering fun ways for you to shop, dine, and support local. We would also like to thank our community partners, who serve as valuable resources for small businesses: Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce, Dickinson Area Economic Development Alliance, and Loyal 2 Local.

“We are beyond proud to be part of this amazing Downtown Iron Mountain community. There are SO many incredible small businesses here, and we’re constantly inspired by the support this town shows for local shops like ours. Thank YOU for being part of the Bored Bard Games family—and part of what makes Iron Mountain such a special place to live, play, and grow.”
– Erik Wilson, Owner

“The Terrace has definitely become a downtown highlight for all of us. It is a great place to meet up and just chill. The venue itself promotes a relaxing pleasant atmosphere and then in the evening becomes a live music venue that continue to bring fun into the night. We specialize in craft cocktails but offer a full bar and local tap beer, so something for everyone.”
– Brandy Wentz, Manager

Michael is an Iron Mountain Native, and wanted to bring something new to his hometown. He has hand selected apparel, outdoor goods, accessories, footwear and custom leather goods to meet the needs of both men and women, providing a space filled with highly curated goods for the community. “Doing what you like is freedom, Liking what you do is happiness.”
– Michael Pearson, Owner

“We love this community, and have been a part of it for over 31 years! Flowers and gifts are our specialty. We love our customers and look forward to seeing you in the shop! We often say how this business has brought in some lifelong friends and fabulous people we wouldn’t have otherwise known, and we are so grateful.”
– Linnea and Kristine, Owners

“Upper Peninsula Audiology expanded to the Iron Mountain community in Fall of 2018. Since then, we have had several wonderful opportunities to immerse ourselves within the community, especially during the Out-To-Lunch season! We are grateful to be the season sponsor again for the third year in a row and look forward to seeing you all soon! Besides our community involvement, we are passionate about the hearing healthcare we have provided and will continue to provide for individuals in the surrounding areas. So, let us at Upper Peninsula Audiology help you hear what you’ve been missing!”
– Dr. Kati Stilwell, Audiologist

“The newest service, luxury scalp spa sessions, is a huge hit! The downtown community has been very supportive of my small business as I learn and grow with it :). The scalp spa services provide a detoxifying treatment, transdermal scalp nutrition, and a stimulating scalp massage, all in one! This creates an optimal environment for healthy hair growth and a soothed scalp. Think of it as a relaxing version of a dental cleaning, but for your scalp! I am working on adjusting my availability to create sooner openings for the fast-growing demand in this service. Thank you to everyone in the community for all the support!”
– Ashley LeFleur, Owner

“CWRK Collective is a community of small business owners, freelance professionals, and professionals who work from home or travel to our community for business or pleasure. We love being in Downtown Iron Mountain because it gives us the opportunity to recommend the best places to eat and shop in the district to our many out-of-town guests. “
– Elsa Pontbriand

“I started The Good Earth as an AVEDA lifestyle salon in 2013, with one stylist and myself. Over 11 years, we grew to be six stylists, an esthetician, and a full-time receptionist, and relocated to a historic building downtown in 2022. Owning a salon was always the dream, and continues to be. Serving the community for almost 12 years has been nothing short of fulfilling and wonderful, and we hope to be the area’s People’s Choice “Best Salon” for years to come.”
– Kate Pearson, Owner

“We are part of a dying breed; Hobby Shops are getting fewer and fewer. We have been around since 1990, offering Plastic Model Kits, Electric Trains, Metal Signs, Die-Cast Collectables, Model Rockets, Paints, Books, and Military Collectables. A great place to hang around and chat.”
– Mark Wiederrecht, Owner

We are extremely excited to open our third location here in Iron Mountain. While technically a run specialty shop, our primary focus is on personalized fittings and working with our customers in a one-on-one environment to find shoe solutions. Whether you are a walker, runner, or just someone who needs a good pair of shoes, we will work with you to make sure you get the right fit to keep your feet happy. We also carry plenty of apparel, including Lululemon, Nike, Brooks, New Balance, and some store brand gear!”
– Chad Hause, General Manager

“The Local Daily Newspaper is owned by Ogden Publishing, and it is staffed by local residents. The company was founded by H.C. Ogden in 1890 and is currently run by the family of his grandson, G. Ogden Nutting. Current CEO Robert Nutting, son of G. Ogden Nutting, is the fourth generation of the Ogden-Nutting family to run the company, and is also a principal owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Between our Daily and Weekly Shopper papers, we strive to offer the community advertising for your promotional events, along with the news coverage you deserve. “
– Denise Lind, Retail Sales Manager

“BK Enterprises – The Engraving Store, has been in business since 1993 and has been located at the 410 S. Stephenson Ave. address since 1994. We all brought our kids to work until they were old enough to attend school, and our customers still ask about them and what they are doing now. Our business has grown along with the downtown and is a great place to be! “
– Brenda Mattson, Owner

“Being part of the downtown community means everything to us at Erickson Jewelers. As a family-run business, we take pride in offering on-site repair and custom design services with the personal care and attention our customers deserve. We love being part of the special moments that make life meaningful—whether it’s an engagement, an anniversary, or a well-earned celebration. Downtown has given us the opportunity to grow relationships, not just a business. We’re proud to be a small part of what makes this community feel like home.”
– Sherri Erickson, Owner

“At 41 Lumber, we’re proud to celebrate 100 years of serving the Upper Peninsula. Since 1925, we’ve grown from a single-location lumberyard into a trusted partner for builders, homeowners, and DIYers across the region. We offer more than just building materials, we help customers bring their visions to life, from full home builds to kitchen remodels and everything in between. As we look to the future, we’re investing in our communities, including a full remodel of our Quinnesec store to better serve our customers and highlight expanded product lines. We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant small business community in Iron Mountain. Here’s to building together for the next 100 years.”
– Tania Swanson, Marketing Manager

“We are excited to be a part of the vibrant Iron Mountain arts community located in the heart of downtown! It has been a joy to provide private music instruction on various instruments to both children and adults over the past 4 years. Thank you to the community for your continued support and patronage. We look forward to many more years of making music!”
– Thomas Niebrzydowski, Owner

“Resilience Beauty Bar is about seeing your own beauty, unique features, and enhancing them. I treat naturally and love being able to offer medical-grade services to the downtown and surrounding areas. I am so lucky to be downtown and have the amazing loyal, local support. Being a single Mom and owning a business has allowed me to show my son that you can do anything with the right “village” and mindset :)”
– Jenifer Mott, Owner

“Kaliyah’s Kloset started as a dream to bring bold, stylish, and affordable fashion to women who want to stand out and feel confident. What began as a small vision has grown into a boutique that serves not just Marquette, but women all across the U.P. and beyond. To me, this business represents resilience, creativity, and the power of showing up as your true self every day. I’m proud to be a Black woman business owner in the Upper Peninsula and to contribute to the beauty and culture of our community. I’m excited to connect with the Iron Mountain area and share the love, style, and empowerment that Kaliyah’s Kloset brings.”
