Presented by First National Bank & Trust, the 11th Annual Oktoberfest is bringing Bavaria to Downtown Iron Mountain! Enjoy live music by 141 North, Dorf Kapelle, and The Descendents, proudly sponsored by Iron Mountain Area Tourism, and savor delicious German food from Millie’s Market, Meat Sweats BBQ, and Harmony Hearth Bakery. Get ready for a day filled with fun for the whole family—complete with traditional Oktoberfest games, a Children’s Area with face painting and jumps, festive drinks, lively polka, and plenty of Bavarian cheer. Whether you are coming for the food, music, beer, wine, or dancing, there’s something for everyone at Oktoberfest. Prost!

Dorf Kapelle brings the charm of a traditional European village band to life with spirited polkas, waltzes, marches, and more. Featuring a full ensemble, they deliver authentic, festive entertainment rooted in the music of Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and beyond.
The Descendants

The Descendants are a talented five-piece variety-rock band from the local area. Playing a mix of classic rock from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, with a bit of country, their music will have you singing and dancing all night.

Mr. & Ms. Oktoberfest Competition (18+)

Show off your Oktoberfest spirit during the Mr. & Ms. Oktoberfest competition (18+)! Contestants will be judged on attire, German trivia, and German word pronunciation. Winners earn the title of Mr. & Ms. Oktoberfest for the year. Sign up at the event or click the button below!
Men & Womens Steinholding Contest (21+)

Join us for the Men’s and Women’s Stein Holding competitions (21+ ONLY)! Hold a full stein straight out for as long as possible to win the coveted beer boot (“bierstiefel”). Official rules from the U.S. Steinholding Association. Sign up at the event or click the button below.
Hammerschlagen & Other Yard Games

Try your hand at Hammerschlagen, a traditional German game where players take turns driving nails into a wooden stump with the wedge end of a hammer. Along with Hammerschlagen, guests can enjoy classic yard games like cornhole and giant Jenga—perfect for a little friendly competition throughout the day.

Children’s Area at Oktoberfest
Bring the whole family to enjoy a day of fun in the Children’s Area from 12 PM – 5 PM! Kids of all ages will love the inflatable bounce house, slide, obstacle course, and toddler playland. Get creative with Oktoberfest-themed arts and crafts.
The Children’s Area will also feature FREE professional face painting by D’s Creative Faces and Oktoberfest-themed arts and crafts.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Oktoberfest cannot happen without the help of volunteers! We are looking for people age 14+ to help with a variety of tasks. These tasks include everything from manning the front entrance, to selling pop and water, to helping to pour Oktoberfest beer and wine (must be 21+ to do this station). We also have three shifts available throughout the day, giving you plenty of time to simply enjoy the festival.
To show our appreciation, all volunteers will receive a DDA Volunteer shirt, FREE event admission, $10 in drink tickets, and $10 in food vouchers to use at the event. Third-shift volunteers receive $15 in drink tickets and food vouchers, as we recognize that working late can be challenging.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the festival is cancelled.
All ages are welcome to attend. You will be asked to show ID. Attendees under 21 years of age will receive a red wristband and those over 21 years of age will receive a blue wristband.
Yes! Attendees are welcome to come and go throughout the day, but must still be wearing a wristband for re-entry.
There will be soft drinks and other n/a refreshments for sale.
Yes. We will have food trucks on site. There are also tables and chairs set up around the festival site for you to sit down to enjoy your meal.
Outside alcohol, glass containers, animals*, bicycles, skateboards, roller-skates/rollerblades, or motorized vehicles.
*With the exception of licensed service dogs as required by the State of Michigan
